What’s new in 2026:
Each year, Rivian evaluates our benefit offerings against industry standards, reviews how employees use their benefits and assesses which vendors can provide the best coverage and experience. We update our benefit offerings to ensure they are competitive and comprehensive, so you have a variety of options that are also sustainable and equitable.
- Anthem 1650 to become the Anthem 1700
- Beginning in 2026, the IRS is increasing the minimum deductible for Health Savings Account (HSA)-eligible medical plans. To comply with these requirements, the Anthem 1650 plan will transition to the Anthem 1700 plan. This change ensures the plan remains HSA-qualified while continuing to provide comprehensive coverage and resources to help you manage your healthcare needs. You can review the Anthem 1700 SBC and other 2026 plan documents on the Documents and Forms page.
- Cleo will sunset on December 31, 2025.
- We’ve made the decision to end our partnership with Cleo effective at the end of this year. However, our benefits program still includes robust family support including Progyny, MilkStork, and Kinside.
- Virtual Care now pre-deductible for the Anthem HSA 1700, Anthem HSA 6350, and Anthem HRA 3500 plans.
- When you utilize virtual care in 2026, you’ll no longer need to meet your deductible before your medical plan pays a share of the service cost.
- IRS limit increases
- Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) annual limit increased to $3,400 and the carryover limit increased to $680
- Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) annual limit increased to $7,500 (or $3,750 if married and filing separately)
- Commuter Benefits monthly limit increased to $340 for transportation and $340 for parking
2026 ID Cards
If you’re enrolled in Anthem 1000, Anthem 3500, Delta Dental, EyeMed, or VSP, you’ll keep your current ID cards—no new cards will be issued for 2026.
You’ll only receive new ID cards if:
- You make a plan change for 2026, or
- You’re enrolled in the Anthem 1650 plan for 2025 and moving to the Anthem 1700 plan for 2026.
All members in the Anthem 1700 plan will automatically receive new ID cards.

What happens if I didn’t enroll?
If you did not take action during the 2026 Open Enrollment period, your current Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life and AD&D, Voluntary Life, Voluntary AD&D, Critical Illness, Accident coverage, and 401k elections carried over into 2026.
Please note: If you are were previously enrolled in the Anthem HSA 1650 medical plan and took no action, you were automatically enrolled in the Anthem HSA 1700 plan.
Benefits that require re-enrollment
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Health Care and Dependent Care FSA’s require re-enrollment each year. Your 2025 election did not rollover. Missing the Open Enrollment Period means you do not have an FSA for 2026.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA): The employee contribution to your HSA requires re-enrollment each year. Your 2025 employee contribution election did not roll over. You can update your employee HSA contribution at any time throughout the year. 2026 deductions will begin effective the day you make your election.
