- Anthem Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and TalkSpace Therapy will replace Modern Health, which will sunset on December 21, 2024. Anthem EAP and TalkSpace Therapy will be available to all employees and dependents regardless of medical plan enrollment; Anthem members will access EAP and Talk Space through the Anthem Sydney App effective January 1, 2025, and all covered dependents can create their own login credentials. Each person enrolled in benefits can receive up to 8 sessions per issue, per calendar year. Additional sessions can be purchased through an in-network Anthem behavioral health provider (deductibles and copays will apply). Non-Anthem members will be directed to other local providers for additional sessions.

- If your current provider is not in-network with Anthem and you wish to continue services, please work directly with your provider to set up a self pay/direct bill plan effective January 1, 2025.
- On or after December 1, 2024 you can reach out to Anthem’s Employee Assistance Program via phone at 877-657-6060 to understand if your existing mental health provider is part of the Anthem network, or to request assistance in locating an in-network provider.
- Anthem EAP webinars will be hosted in early December, be on the lookout for communication regarding these webinars to learn more information about the programs and services available.

Modern Health mental well-being support – Program sunsetting 12/31/2024
Modern Health provides mental well-being support that gives you and your family access to personalized one-on-one coaching and therapy, group sessions and self-serve resources—at no cost to you.
How the program works
You answer a few questions, and Modern Health develops a personalized care plan to help you better manage stress, reduce anxiety, work through relationship challenges, manage the demands of parenting, improve work performance, support healthy lifestyle choices or set a financial well-being plan. Each member of your family age six and up receives their own sessions.
You can receive:
- Up to eight one-on-one sessions per year with a certified mental health professional or financial well-being coach
- Up to eight one-on-one sessions per year with licensed clinical therapists
- Unlimited Circles group support sessions designed to be safe spaces for sharing and learning with others
- Self-serve resources, including courses on managing stress, resilience, parenting, sleep, building healthy habits, communication and more
- Referrals to local providers for child or adult care, financial or legal advice, education support and other services, based on your unique needs

- Download the Modern Health app (App Store, Google Play) on your mobile device, or go to my.joinmodernhealth.com.
- Sign up with your work email and Rivian as your company name. Your work email is used only to verify you are a Rivian employee. Rivian cannot see who has signed up.
- Answer a few questions about your well-being and preferences for care.
- Get your personalized care plan, including a combination of one-on-one coaching and therapy, group sessions and self-serve resources that can help you in your areas of focus.
- To add family members, sign up yourself, and then click Invite Dependents in the Settings menu. Learn more.
